Lyricus is a non-commercial, community-driven digital archive designed to preserve, organize, and celebrate the cultural treasure of Sinhala music, poetry, and linguistic art.
Sinhala music spans classical Sarala Gee, Baila, Nadagam, Golden Era cinema tracks, and contemporary pop classics. Our mission is to ensure that lyrical poetry and chord charts are preserved in clean Sinhala script and accessible Singlish transliterations so that future generations, students, and overseas Sri Lankans can study, learn, and appreciate their musical heritage.
Important Attribution Statement: Lyricus does NOT own, sell, license, or profit from the copyrighted lyrical works, musical melodies, or master sound recordings showcased on this platform. All legal ownership, copyright, and publishing rights reside exclusively with the original lyricists, composers, vocal artists, their estates, and designated recording labels.
